Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and handle fresh fish and seafood deliveries.
Clean, gut, fillet, and prepare fish and seafood products according to company standards.
Maintain fresh and appealing seafood displays, ensuring proper rotation and stock levels.
Advise customers on types of fish, preparation methods, and cooking tips.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations (e.g., HACCP).
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and tools.
Manage inventory and report on stock levels and quality issues.
Assist with ordering and restocking seafood products as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines when handling knives and equipment.
Collaborate with other team members to provide a smooth customer experience.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Fishmonger or in seafood processing preferred.
Knowledge of fish types, seafood preparation, and storage techniques.
Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to work in a cold environment and handle physical tasks.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
