For their growing organization in the Netherlands, we are searching for a (Sr.) Field Medical Advisor who will combine field and office responsibilities for the assigned Pharmaceutical portfolio. For their growing organization in the Netherlands, we are searching for a (Sr.) Field Medical Advisor who will combine field and office responsibilities for the assigned Pharmaceutical portfolio. Description In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of expert clinical and scientific information to internal and external customers. You will be managing collaborative relationships with national and regional opinion leaders to ensure alignment of professional opinion, particularly in areas of emerging science and forthcoming product developments. The role will provide oversight and local management of relationships with investigators undertaking studies under the remit of Medical Affairs. You will also provide support to the national business unit to provide clinical insight, technical expertise and scientific training to staff. It is also important to mention that you will get the chance to work with both an existing brand and a product which is expected to be launched in 2021. Finally, in this role, you will be expected to spend 60% of your time in the field, networking and collaborating with scientific stakeholders. Rest of your time will be spent on office based work and strategic meetings with internal colleagues. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Provides in-depth clinical and scientific information relating to company products to internal staff and, on demand, to external customers; Responsible for the management of collaborative relationships with national and local opinion leaders to ensure alignment of clinical and scientific opinion and company strategy; Provides strategic insights and scientific support to cross-functional country Brand Teams to support business needs and ensures cross-functional alignment of medical affairs activities; Supports creation and delivery of scientific training and materials internally and externally; Organizes advisory boards and scientific round table meetings with specialists; Advises speakers for congresses, symposia and other events to spread and enhance scientific knowledge; Maintains understanding of International, EU and national legal, regulatory, ethical requirements for the conduct of clinical research. Profile We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical sector, preferably in a field and office based medical affairs role. You are expected to have excellent communication and presentation as well as strong planning skills since you will be nationally responsible for the assigned portfolio. Requirements include but are not limited to; Relevant and scientific educational background; preferably an MD or PhD qualification; At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a field based Medical Affairs role; Excellent command of spoken Dutch and English; Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral - ability to present scientific data in balanced and compelling fashion and to turn complex scientific knowledge into easily understood language for different audiences; Ability to demonstrate clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
