Job Title: HGV1 Store Delivery Driver
Location: Falkirk CDC and Grangemouth ADC
Hourly Rates: £14.02 per/hr Days, £15.21 per/hr Backs, £16.84 per/hr Nights
About Us: Pertemps is a well-established Agency supplying logistics and distribution placements. Our company provides delivery solutions to our client. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable HGV1 Store Delivery Driver to join our team and contribute to our continued success.Job Summary: As an HGV1 Store Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods from our distribution centre to various stores. You will be responsible for driving a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV1) while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Your primary goal will be to deliver goods in a timely and secure manner, maintaining the integrity of the products and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a HGV1 vehicle to transport goods to designated store locations
Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are properly secured and organized within the vehicle
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
Plan delivery routes, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules
Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery and mileage records
Comply with all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including hours of service and weight limits
Communicate effectively with dispatch and store personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues
Provide excellent customer service by representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
Use Telemetric and specific routes plans
Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transit
Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns to the maintenance department
Qualifications:
A Driver Assessment is required
Valid HGV1 (Category C+E) driving license
Current CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
Digital Tachograph Card
A clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
Strong knowledge of HGV driving regulations and safety protocols
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Physical fitness and the ability to load and unload goods
Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety
