Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management: Supervise the day-to-day operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring optimal utilization of vehicles and resources.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of drivers and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
Route Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize delivery routes, minimize fuel consumption, and enhance overall efficiency.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards, conducting regular vehicle inspections and driver training sessions.
Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, and fuel efficiency, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a transport supervisor/management or a transport position.
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Familiarity with transportation management software and GPS systems
