My client is a Hydraulic and Pneumatics wholesaler in the Fluid Power Sector. The also specialises in design engineering services too. Based in the UK, my client is a distributor of leading brands such as MP Filters, Festo Pneumatics, ATOS Valves and Gates Hydraulics. As the business has grown recently, they are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their sales team. You will be tasked with the development of an account base and establishing new lines of business.

Business Development Manager.
East Anglia (Cambridge)
£45,000 to £50,000 DOE.
Company Car, Fuel Card, Pension, phone, laptop and bonus.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained both internally and externally.
Maintain contact with existing clients.
Manage accounts of new business and existing clients.
Establish new business and reconnect with lapsed clients.
Represent the brand to a high standard, promoting services.
Research, network and contact new and existing clients to create opportunities to develop business.
Work closely with various levels of staff both internally and externally.
Update and maintain CRM systems.
Keep up to date with industry news and competitors.
Attend meetings and networks exhibitions.
Experience and Skills required:

Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge.
Good awareness of the market regarding - Hydraulic cylinders, valves, fittings etc.
Strong work ethic.
Able to communicate technical information.
Whole sales experience and awareness of specific brands and goods is beneficial.
Ability to source new business using various methods – Linked in, Google etc.
Fantastic interpersonal skills.
Experience dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Confident working with clients at various levels.
Able to prioritise and manage workload.
Experience working within a Business Development role is essential.
UK driving licence
