S&B Herba Foods Ltd are food importers, processors and market leaders in supplying the Manufacturing, Wholesale, Ethnic and Retail Sectors. We are part of the Ebro Foods Group, the largest Rice Company and second largest Pasta Company in the world.

We are entering exciting times in terms of the Company's development. We have just signed up to Investors In People so will be focussing on developing our employees, developing values that meet the needs of the Company to ensure it's continued success.

For the past 5 months we have started implementing an S&OP process, which is still in it's early stages. As a result of this, we are looking for a Supply and Demand Planner to join the Planning Team reporting into the S&OP Manager, primarily at our Cambridge facility but providing cover for our Liverpool site. There will be a requirement for occasional travel to our Liverpool Mill.

Principal Accountabilities:

Support the Sales Team in attaining best possible forecasts, improving customer service and availability
Produce packaging requirement plan for sites
In conjunction with the Commercial Director, produce a demand pack on a monthly basis
Work with the S&OP Manager to improve Planning Tools, learning full manufacturing and planning process to be able to provide support
To maintain Demand Risk and Opportunities tracking
Provide Operational support in terms of monitoring sales orders; assisting with production of milling and packing schedules; pallet ordering and updating the JD Edwards system
Understand plant maintenance schedules and projects to ensure they are factored into forecasting
Be influential in future implementation of new processes in JD Edwards relating to manufacturing, potentially including implementation of Bills of Materials (work orders) and planningThis is a busy and demanding role, so would suit someone with 3-5 years experience in operational manufacturing planning. Ideally, someone who is keen to develop and grow the role further.

Qualifications and Skills required for the role:

Educated to Degree level in relevant subject
Experience in Quality Systems
Meticulous attention to detail
Experience in the FMCG sector
Intermediate/Advanced level in Excel and ideally exposure to JD Edwards, SAP or similar softwareBenefits:
