Graphic Designer

Mid or Heavyweight Designer - £30,000-£40,000 – Colchester (Agency)

The Role:

Cloudscope are recruiting on behalf of a reputable marketing agency based in Colchester. Our client is seeking to grow their design team with a mid-weight designer, slightly more senior experienced is being considered. You will look to deliver strong creative concepts, campaigns and design solutions for their clients, within deadline and meeting briefs. Reporting to Head of Design, you will work closely with an experienced team of designers, working together with creative flair, to deliver results on exciting and varied projects.

The Role:

* Producing accomplished, eye-catching design concepts and helping to support high standard delivery across projects

* Striving for creative output that is to the highest standards in execution and application

* Supporting the Senior team members in delivering quality pitch and concept proposals

* Bringing a strong design and visualisation ability to all projects with a well-rounded contribution

* Contributing to creative team development with inspiration, insight and design trends found in the wider creative industry

* Accomplished problem-solving and good contribution towards idea generation

* Good communication skills and able to articulate work and ideas to the Creative and CS teams

* At all times comply with the company policies, procedures, and instructions

The Candidate:

* Degree in Design, Visual Arts or any other relevant qualification

* Present a strong portfolio that demonstrates originality, conceptual thinking, and thoughtful execution

* Agency experience is preferred

* Proficient Mac operating and creative software skills

* Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Software – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat

* Experience in After Effects and Premier desirable

* Strong and experienced design, creativity and visualisation abilities

* Ability to multi-task with good planning, time management and organisational skills

* Good problem-solving and idea generation abilities

* Good interpersonal skills, along with good verbal and written communication skills

This role will suit a candidate that has proven experience in a design role, proficient in Adobe Creative Software and Mac OS. You will be happy working in the office full time and be part of a close-knit agency team with lots of experience. We ask that you have a portfolio available to share for the position too.
