Loom Talent have been retained by a leading Third-Party Logistics (3PL) transport provider, for an astute and dynamic Transport Manager to steer the transport operations of our bustling hub in Hinckley.

This pivotal role sits at the heart of the company’s logistics operation, ensuring the drivers, fleet and overall operation delivers excellence day in, day out, to our esteemed blue-chip clientele.

A CPC qualification is desirable, but not essential form this role. Our client is willing to support and develop the successful candidate, in helping them gain their CPC if needed.

The Role:

The Transport Manager will be the driving force behind all transport activities, embodying the company commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You’ll have a direct impact on success, focusing on:

* Driver Management: From tachographs to compliance with the Working Time Directive (WTD), you’ll ensure our drivers are supported and standards are surpassed.

* Transport Planning: You’re the maestro of route optimisation, constantly seeking ways to enhance efficiency and reliability.

* Fleet Maintenance: Oversee the servicing, maintenance, and general upkeep of our fleet, guaranteeing safety and reliability are always top of mind.

* Customer Engagement: With daily interactions with our high-profile, blue-chip customers, you’ll need to be as comfortable with people as you are with logistics.

* Recruitment: You’ll have full autonomy on the structure and hiring strategies within the transport department.

The Candidate:

* A CPC National / International qualification is advantageous but not essential.

* 3+ Years proven transport supervisory / management experience, preferably within a 3PL environment.

* Have been responsible for 30+ vehicles previously.

* Multi-Drop experience is advantageous but not essential.

* A robust understanding of driver management, transport planning, and fleet maintenance.

* Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and make informed decisions quickly.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of nurturing significant customer and team relationships.
