Join the Vehicle Engineering Team as a Durability and Robustness Programme Leader enhancing the customer experience through the design, development, measurement and balance of customer attributes for a vehicle models!

The Durability and Robustness Programme Leader’s primary goal is to ensure all customer expectations for vehicle Durability and Robustness are met or exceeded. Using your experience in Project Management you will achieve this through attribute target setting & verification using both virtual and physical test methods!

Working 40 hours per week, you will primarily be based at state-of-the-art facility in Gaydon, with Hybrid working in place (typically 3 days per week) dependant on the stage of programme delivery and working demand – an element of flexibility to work full-time on-site is required to be present for unplanned workload and physical vehicle evaluation.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the Durability and Robustness Programme Leader:

Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets
Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests & driven vehicle DV activities
Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets
Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues
Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports
Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary
We’re looking for a Durability and Robustness Programme Lead who holds:

Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies or systems
Understanding of Durability and Strength principles
Project management of complex engineering test activities
Experience of problem-solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
Understanding of Systems engineering principles and delivery
Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel
Stand out from the crowd as a Durability and Robustness Programme with:

Knowledge and experience of AGILE working principles
Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.
Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience
Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
