Electronic PCB Inspector/SMD Technician

Quartz-Technical Services Limited have a vacancy within their busy PCB Assembly Inspection / SMD Department for an Electronic Assembly Inspector / SMD Technician
The position is permanent working 39 hours per week.
Main Duties:
1. Effective and efficient Inspection of conventional and SMT board assemblies;
2. Manual soldering, reworking and Prototyping;
3. Electronic product assembly;
4. Set-up and operate automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly equipment;
5. Programme automated SMT assembly equipment;
6. Perform basic soldering and rework of SMT components;
7. Pick components and prepare kits for manufacturing;
8. Perform visual inspections of SMT & PTH assemblies;
9. Maintain accurate job tracking records;
10. Adhere to Health & Safety rules and regulations
11. Any Other Duties that may arise to ensure the smooth running of the business.
The ideal candidate will be bright, enthusiastic and bubbly, willing to learn new tasks and enjoy being part of a team. Good communication skills are required, with the ability to take instruction, work without supervision and perform to tight deadlines. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Qualifications in Maths & English are essential alongside a sound knowledge of conventional & Surface Mount electronic component/packages, component polarity and a good interpretation of manufacturing documentation, (i.e., parts list, drawings, procedures).
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 & Lead-Free processes and AOI operation and programming is desirable.
At least 1 years experience of working within a busy Electronic PCB Inspection / SMD Department is desirable.
