Title: Field Service Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Working hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours) + paid overtime
Location: Head Office - Northamptonshire, travel throughout the UK
Our client, a niche business based in Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team.
The role will involve visiting customers throughout the UK to carry out installations, modifications, reactive maintenance and PPM on their unique machinery. The successful candidate will ensure an efficient, friendly and professional service is delivered.

The Field Service Engineer Role:
* Attend customers premises to complete installations and technical support with their machinery
* Ensuring an excellent service is delivered by being attentive, thorough, efficient and ensuring quality is paramount
* Manage own diary, liaising with customers, arranging visits and handling customer demands
* Carry out inspections of machinery, including all electrical aspects, ensuring compliance and in accordance with legislations and safety standards
* Complete final tests on all work undertaken, taking action to rectify any faults identified
* Support with breakdowns, reactive maintenance and PPM
* Ensure all work carried out is documented in the service report, stored correctly and shared with the relevant personnel
* Collate data for the Operations Team to assess and analyse the service performance and support with continuous improvements
* Support with additional hours or breakdowns as the business requires
You’ll Need:
* HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification with electrical bias preferred
* Excellent customer service experience with the ability to engage at all levels
* Previous experience of operating in a Field Service role would be advantageous
* Adopts a proactive approach, able to use own initiative to make decisions and resolve issues that may occur on-site
* Confident in fault diagnostic
* Fork Lift Licence would be beneficial however not essential
* Driving Licence as regular travel be required as part of the role
* Proficient in Microsoft packages
