Job Description:
Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Immigration Paralegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, preparing immigration petitions and applications, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in both English and Spanish, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Ensure excellent customer service by promptly responding to emails and phone calls from clients and staff.
Manage a large caseload effectively, prioritizing deadlines.
Interview and intake clients.
Gather necessary documents and information to build cases.
Maintain organized files according to office systems while upholding confidentiality.
Prepare various immigration petitions and applications.
Review legal documents prepared by virtual assistants for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate regularly with virtual assistants to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Prepare clients for consular and USCIS interviews under minimal supervision.
Monitor expiration dates of I-94s and age outs.
Adhere to all ethical standards and company guidelines.
Education/Experience Requirement:
Bachelors degree and one (1) year of experience as a Paralegal (I) Entry-Level, and one (1) year of experience as a Paralegal (II) Junior-Level; OR
Two (2) years of experience as a Virtual Assistant, one (1) year of experience as a Paralegal (I) Entry-Level, and one (1) year of experience as a Paralegal (II) Junior-Level; OR
LLM and one (1) year of experience as a Paralegal (II) Intermediate Level.
Skills:
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word.
Ability to work independently, delegate tasks, and multitask effectively.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
