Are you a Product Manager who wants to work for an international manufacturing company, based in Bredbury? You will be part of a group of companies, renowned in their industry, whose products are designed and developed at each site, innovative, environmentally forward thinking and collaborative in approach with a recognised known client base. There is an established learning and development training pathways/ packages available for all employees. The position is full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.00 pm and Friday 7.30 am to 12.50 pm Salary £40,000 –£60,000 dependant on experience.

Product Manager Responsibilities:

* Plan manage and organise a range of products across the business.

* To develop a strong understanding of the market requirements for the companies products by working closely with the sales team

* Maintaining a strategic involvement with the R&D team on new product developments.

* Management of New Product Development market launch process

* Liaising with the R&D, Manufacturing and Sales team on launch process.

* Provide detailed feedback to R&D on market driven requirements along with justifications on new product requirements.

* Understanding of concepts, procedures and applications of product management and extensive knowledge in other subjects or disciplines relevant to the context of the product.

* Utilises company systems, methods, and processes to ensure delivery within agreed time and financial targets.

* Consulting with both sales and management teams on product price and margin setting.

* Consistently looking for ways to deliver continuous improvement, whilst channelling resources effectively developing best delivery practices or identifying change impacts within the organisation.

* Supporting the sales team with product presentations and demonstrations

* Understanding the competition and providing commercial input on product market pricing including ancillary products.

* Taking control of small, large, complex, long-term, and multiple products at any one time.

* Technical specification responsibility for the complete portfolio of products.

* Product/Application Promotion by providing attractive and modern imagery/media to the company marketing team

* Supporting the sales team with product presentations and demonstrations

* Understanding the competition and providing commercial input on product market pricing including ancillary products

* Working closely with the sales department in agreeing channel (End User, Distribution, Group trading) discounting/commercial strategy.

* Supporting the decision-making process on in-house vs bought in ancillary products

* Demonstration facility development and management

* Training - Production, maintenance and delivery of training material using all forms of media to both internal and external customers.

* Supporting the marketing team wherever required with product-based material for both website and webshop.

About you:

* Essential you must have product management experience within a Manufacturing, Engineering, or production setting.

* Educated to HND/Degree level in an appropriate technical subject.

* Must have experience of both commercial and technical aspects of product management.

* Demonstrable technical capability ideally in relatable fields of electrical engineered products, detailed process application and industrial market.

* Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has graphic design capability and good knowledge of graphic design tools.

* Required high attention to detail, good organisational skillset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst prioritising workloads and strong communication. .

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel.
