Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An industry leading Aerospace company is seeking a Contract Design Engineer to join their engineering team. Based near Newport, you will benefit from a start salary of £45ph (DOE), and the opportunity to work within a leading aerospace industry.
As a Contract Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Concept to completion Design Engineering of products
3D CAD using CATIA V5
Working with both composite materials alongside metallic mechanisms and their mechanical function.
Working in line with regulatory requirements and industry regulations.
To work in accordance with costs, quality manufacturability and performance.
Producing engineering change notices and support for the manufacturing functions.To be a successful Contract Design Engineer you will have:
Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng. In Design Engineering or similar discipline.
Experience of working on tolerance stack-ups and GD&T
Strong knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
A passion for innovation and future technologies.
3D CAD such as CATIA.
Experience of working on Product Lifecycle Management.
Experience of working on Aerospace/Automotive interior products.
Experience managing teams.As a Contract Design Engineer, you will receive:
£45 to £50 per hour.
