Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Wellingborough

Hours: 39 Hours per week Monday – Friday

Responsible For: Crafting Precise Last Models for Production

Job Summary:

Quest Employment are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s fantastic team as a Model Maker. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for creating precise last models that serve as the foundation for crafting high-quality products. Your work will be integral to the production of exceptional footwear.

Key Responsibilities:

·Craft precise last models that represent the inner structure of footwear according to specific measurements.

·Utilize hand tools, measuring devices, and specialized equipment, including roughing machines, band saws, pillar drills, and heating equipment.

·Work from negative plaster casts or draft measurements to produce accurate last models.

·Work with various materials, including leather, E.V.A, PVC, rubber, cork, and Plaster of Paris.

Qualifications and Skills:

·Preferred: Understanding of orthopaedic footwear terminology and prior experience in the field.

·Excellent hand-eye coordination.

·Demonstrated ability to work with precision and professionalism.

Health and Safety:

Safety is paramount in our workplace, and adherence to health and safety procedures is mandatory. Exercise caution when using cutting blades and hand tools, and always inspect tools and machinery for safety before use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure your safety.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide general assistance as needed within your area of expertise within the factory.
