As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalised care and support to students with autism. This permanent position offers a unique chance to contribute to the well-being and holistic development of those on educational health care plans.

Responsibilities:

Implement personalised care plans, following lesson plans set by the teacher to meet the unique needs of students.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and personal growth.
Utilise effective communication strategies to build rapport and trust with students with autism.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including class teacher and staffs, to ensure holistic support.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress and activities.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker in school or similar role is preferred.
Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students with autism.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
