A Financial Controller is required for a unique company just outside Leeds City centre that is continuing to go through fantastic growth. As Financial Controller you will be senior team member, supporting and advising on all areas of finance within the departments of this SME, evolving company. You will look to take the reins of the entire Finance function as part of their success plan.

This is diverse role that creates the accounts for the company, along with operational statistics, analysis , whilst supporting management with commercial decision-making. Whether you are a qualified accountant looking to move into an operational role, or an experienced qualified finance manager looking for a fresh and exciting challenge, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for:

* Creation of accurate and real time business transactions, including reoccurring invoices, accruals and complex billing through Xero.

* Monthly accounts completion and year end preparation.

* Creation of KPI reports, forecasting and budgets.

* Analyse of costing, charges, revenue and performance.

* Provide high quality financial advice and guidance to the senior management team

* Management and liaison of the external Accountant for year-end completion and audit.

* Research and analyse expense variances for company management

* Weekly pay-run

* VAT returns

* Credit control

* Oversee accurate monthly stock take

We are looking for:

* Practice experience, or complex commercial billing experience, as a qualified Accountant.

* Xero software experience.

* A highly commercially driven, high level of business acumen to be able to consult and support divisional managers in their commercial decisions.

* Experience and desire to prepare management accounts, business plans and forecasts, as opposed to supervising a team.

* ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified.

* Excellent analytical and problems solving skills.

* A confident communicator with stakeholder management experience.

* Passion to be in a part of an expanding company and positive, successful team.

The hours and location

* Flexible 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, between 7:30 and 5pm.

* Hybrid working is available if preferred, with their offices based on the edge of Armley Leeds. There is free parking available.
