A small and stable manufacturer of machined components needs a Quality Inspector!
As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of goods in and finished products, verifying compliance with all necessary documentation. Experience with dimensional inspection equipment like Micrometers, Verniers, and Gauges is essential, along with the ability to interpret both Imperial and metric measurements.
As this Quality Inspector role develops and with the right aptitude there may be a chance to take on more Quality Management responsibilities lead Audits and manage a QMS.
As a Quality Inspector key skills include:
* Excel in reading engineering drawings
* Working with inspection equipment – Verniers, Micrometres, Callipers, Gauges
* Checking accompanying documentation
* FAIs
Your responsibilities will include checking goods inward, inspecting finished goods, measuring with fine tolerances, and creating inspection reports. You'll maintain equipment calibration and offer solutions for defects, ensuring materials meet FAI report standards. Visits to suppliers may be necessary, and you'll contribute to process improvement by creating procedure checklists.
