IT Dispatch Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled IT Dispatch Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role involves specialising in the preparation, packaging, and dispatch of IT equipment and handling service requests. Key responsibilities include managing the delivery of devices and peripherals, monitoring stock levels, and maintaining IT systems. Working as part of a broader IT service desk team, you will ensure the completion of all requests while following processes for software building, device enrolment, equipment shipping, and tracking deliveries and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

* Liaise with end users and book couriers for dispatch.

* Accurately update IT systems for incoming and outgoing goods to maintain a precise and up-to-date stock inventory and hardware asset management.

* Dispose of IT equipment following Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013.

* Adhere to Software Asset Management guidelines and processes.

* Provide advice, guidance, and assistance on IT device setup and operation.

* Communicate technical information to users in non-technical terms via various channels.

* Self-audit all work to ensure it meets applicable technical and operational quality standards.

* Maintain a tidy working environment and be polite to customers at all times.

* Respond effectively and appropriately to all customer requests and inquiries.

* Ensure high standards of English and communication skills as notes on ticket activity and calls are critical to customers.

* Complete work within agreed timeframes.

* Exhibit a confident and well-spoken manner both over the phone and in person.

* Comply with Health & Safety standards.

* Manage stock effectively.

* Promote the values and ethos of the company at all times, ensuring a safe and accountable environment.

* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as required.

* Lead stakeholder meetings once per week.

Requirements:

* At least one year of technical IT experience.

* Familiarity with stock management and stock control.

* Experience in logistics management (receiving and dispatching).

* Capability to liaise with and present to C-Level staff members.

* Basic knowledge and skills in Windows operating systems.

* Familiarity with Office 365 and its applications.

* Basic understanding of networking.
