Progressus Professional Services are currently recruiting for a growing Leeds based contractor specialising in school refurbishments and renovations across West Yorkshire.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Construction Site Manager with a background in joinery to join the team.

Position Overview:

As Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the refurbishment projects within schools across West Yorkshire. Drawing upon your expertise in Joinery and construction management, you will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for coordinating with subcontractors, managing on-site personnel, and liaising with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Supervise and coordinate on-site construction activities, including scheduling subcontractors, organising materials, and managing resources effectively.

Utilise your joinery background to provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate open communication and resolve any project-related concerns.

Implement and enforce site-specific health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager, preferably with a background in Joinery

Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials, with a keen eye for detail and quality.

Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Valid CSCS card and relevant industry certifications are desirable.

A commitment to upholding health and safety standards on construction sites.
