Our Client a busy and large main contractor operating within the industrial, datacentre, pharmaceutical and commercial project sector space on projects across Europe require a Mechanical Construction Manager to work on a new datacentre project in Sweden. You will be suitably qualified with at least 5 years experience working as a mechanical manager preferably within the datacentre project sector space with main contractors and European project sector experierence with the ability to live and work in Sweden with no restrictions. Your responsibilities will include

Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities and complete all HVAC deliverables within project and safety criteria

Assess and manage the project commercially to validate the project on handover from estimating, and proceed through to full technical procurement of all equipment, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers

Assist with documenting and costing of changes to the work scopes and preparation of the monthly valuations and final account

Management of Project Schedule two weeks look ahead in conjunction with the Project Team

Ensuring the quality of the works is maintained at a high level and management of Sub Contractors activities

Ensure that all variations and delays are notified to Project Management

Ensuring all plant materials onsite are as per agreed specifications and all delivered Share this job

Ensuring that all matters of compliance and governance are identified and adhered to, including:

Health & Safety issues on site and ensuring that all Sub Contractors are working in a safe manner.

Review ways of working and where possible implement changes to improve safety.

Ensuring housekeeping is kept to a high standard by all Sub Contactors.

Complete weekly ‘don’t walk by’ cards.

Develop and implement company procedures with the package managers

Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme)
