Mechanical Test Engineer
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm with an earlier finish on a Friday

We have a new opening for a specialist engineering company for a Mechanical Test Engineer to join their team based in Poole on a permanent basis.
Within this role you will conducting rigorous testing at each stage of design, ensuring the performance, durability, and functionality of the products to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Working within a busy team for a company that values their staff this is a company that is expanding to meet customer demands and new orders for their precision engineered products.
The company undertakes reverse engineering, prototype builds, functional and various service tests.
Key duties will include;
* Creating and developing test plans, procedures, and schedules for design testing.
* Set up and operation of test rigs and equipment.
* Review and sign-off test installations.
* Leading and executing internal test plans to prove performance, durability and functionality of products.
* Developing and writing test cases for projects, using both new and standard test methods.
* Production of engineering reports formed from analysis and evaluation of test data.
* Ensuring calibration activities are undertaken as per company requirements.
* Assist with test rig maintenance, upgrades, and improvements.
* Conducting testing in adhering to best practice standards and HSE requirements.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities for improvements to testing, rig upgrades and processes.
The successful applicant will possess;
* Experience of mechanical testing
* Demonstrable experience of technical report writing and collation of documentation.
* Experience of manual and automated testing.
* A high level of attention to detail.
