Key Responsibilities:
As a Technical Superintendent, you will be the cornerstone of the fleet’s technical operations, ensuring the vessels are maintained to the highest standards. Your duties will include:
* Planning and executing repair and dry-docking works, from routine to major repairs.
* Monitoring vessel performance and Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
* Conducting comprehensive vessel inspections (minimum 4 per year per ship) and ensuring timely follow-up on identified issues.
* Managing survey cycles and ensuring compliance with statutory survey requirements and repairs.
* Overseeing the purchase and delivery of spare parts and stores to vessels.
* Preparing and monitoring operational budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and escalating issues when necessary.
* Participating in pre-purchase and pre-takeover inspections, providing detailed reports for owners.
* Leading incident investigations, root cause analyses, and ensuring vessels meet vetting standards and terminal clearances.
* Collaborating closely with the commercial team, preparing essential technical documentation to support their activities and ensure seamless communication between technical and commercial operations.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced and technical environment. The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum Qualification: a minimum of 1 year seatime as 2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer on LNG carriers
* Experience as a Technical Superintendent (or similar roles, such as Vessel Manager or Engineering Superintendent).
* Extensive experience with LNG vessel types.
* The right to live and work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
