Senior Quantity Surveyor – Northampton/Hybrid – Civils/highways – Up to £73k + car allowance + bonus
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established Civil Engineering contractor who are expanding their operations and setting up a new region. This will mean you will be joining a brand new team.
Their new Eastern region is centred in Northampton and will cover projects within about an hour of Northampton. As Senior Quantity Surveyor your time would be spent working from the office with the team, out on site and working from home (depending on site demands).
Works they carry out are civil engineering works such as highways construction and Section 278 works for development infrastructure, and these are carried out for both public and private clients. Forms of contract that they use are JCT, NEC & ICC.
They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to initially work on a £5-6m roundabout construction scheme in Stratford which commences in July. This project will involve a considerable length of culverting and river training and the duration is expected to be 12 months. This project will be run under NEC4 option A Contract.
You will be carrying out the full scope of Quantity Surveying duties on this project, including buying, costing, valuations, additional works, final account, subcontract management and CVRs.
There are plenty of career development opportunities with the business plan being to grow the turnover for this new region substantially each year. The salary ranges from £55k to £73k and the package includes a generous car allowance, bonus, and 25 days annual leave.
