The Company:
We are working with a main contractor who are a dominant player in the North West Construction Market.
They are a part of a major construction group who take on large scale technical challenging projects and have a long, successful history in the North West.
They have ambitious growth plans that are realistic given their presence on a number of key public sector Frameworks together with good relationships with many of the leading private sector clients/developers.
They operate in a number of sectors in the North West including; Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Student Accommodation, Leisure, Industrial and Blue Light.
They have made key additions to their North West senior team in recent years and are open to new ideas that improve current procedures and practices.
The Role:
They are looking to recruit an experienced Bid Manager to join their Pre-Construction team in their North West Regional Office.
The role includes the responsibility for leading a number of bids of varying sizes and types.
You will be given the resources to continue their success and to help improve the work winning process here helping them to secure work from their frameworks and continue to secure work from their private sector client base too.
You will take ownership for the development and successful delivery of pre-qualifications, proposals and tenders for projects based throughout the North West.
You’ll develop and champion win strategies.
Be responsible for early client engagement and effective communication throughout the bid process
Receive and understand tender documents and develop targeted proposals that meet/exceed the client's needs and aspirations.
Work with the commercial, design, planning, procurement and operational teams selecting key personnel to work on your bids, assigning technical questions and using their input, putting together project team CVs
Manage and lead a small bid team ensuring key bid milestones are hit ensuring the bid is clear, concise and effectively meets/exceeds the requirements.
Carry out site visits.
Proof read all documentation that leaves the building.
You:
To be successful in this role it’s likely that you will be an experienced Bid Manager or you may be carrying out bid management as a part of your current duties for a similar contractor.
You will have an in-depth understanding of the construction market and be able to inspire confidence in internal and external stakeholders.
You will be commercially aware and based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
