Manual Lathe Operator required to work in engineering workshop based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
The role for Manual Lathe Operator:
Setting and operating manual centre lathes to a high standard.
Using various work holding methods (Chucks, faceplates, fixtures etc.) to accurately set components.
Performing various manual operations such as turning, taper turning, facing, drilling, reaming, threading and polishing.
Understanding engineering drawings enabling you to carry out various operations.
Working to tight tolerances using the approved gauging methods.
Using various types of gauging such as micrometres, bowers gauges, plug gauges, snap gauges, verniers etc. to self-inspect parts during production operations.
Applicants will need to have previous experience of Manual Lathe operating & NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
