The Demand Planner will work closely with cross functional teams (supply planning, sales, marketing, and finance) to develop forecasts based on sales data to develop a demand plan that will maximize overall Chemical Guys brand awareness and help drive sales through our Direct-To-Consumer, Online Marketplace, and Wholesale channels. This individual will work closely with cross functional teams to streamline a more sustainable supply chain while facilitating continuous improvement processes & systems that support the forecasting role.

This role is 5 days a week onsite in Torrance.
What will you need?
Must have functional knowledge of forecasting principles within demand planning.
5-7 years of Demand Planning experience in an omni-channel environment
Experience with sales and customer interface, operational metrics and analysis.
Exceptional analytical and forecasting skills.
Experience with supplier portals such as Amazon Vendor Central, Retail Link, etc
Strong interpersonal skills to develop collaborative working relationships at various levels across the organization.
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs.
Accustomed to high-volume environments and able to adapt to changing job requirements.
Previous Oracle Cloud experience is a plus but not required.
Bachelors degree in a relevant degree field
What will you do?
Deliver customer item (sku) level forecasts (including packaging and raw material needs) using a combination of statistical forecasting methods and advanced business intelligence processes, supported with fact-based data-driven insights, analysis and modeling.
Assist in implementation of Oracle Cloud Demand Planning module and develop supporting planning processes.
Analyze factors impacting demand for auto care products (e.g., category trends, promotions, competitive products, seasonality, retail consumption, indirect channels), and build statistical models that quantify the business environment.
Manage demand forecasts based on trends, seasonality, and promotions while factoring in channel inventory, in-stock %, and life cycle of products.
Lead discussions with Sales and Finance to develop a consensus forecast outlook for each customer and channel.
Conduct meetings with the Sales team to review upcoming product launches, promotions, POG changes and new stores openings and incorporate into the forecast.
Drive continuous improvement in the quality of the demand forecast accuracy and bias utilizing a metrics-based approach.
Support Supply Planning & Product team early in the development process by assisting with forecast estimates for new products and analyzing post launch performance of new products against expectations.
