Quality Assurance Engineer

For one of our banking clients we are seeking a skilled and proactive Test Engineer to join a dynamic squad within the Reporting & Value Chain Services (RVCS) area, a key segment of the Markets & Treasury technology domain. This team plays a pivotal role in supporting global business operations and ensuring regulatory compliance through efficient, secure, and data-driven systems.

As a Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, creating, and executing comprehensive test scenarios for systems primarily focused on backend processes and data handling via ETL. Your contributions will directly impact system functionality, data quality, and compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test scenarios, covering both code-level functionality and data processing workflows.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand system functionalities, and align on test strategies.
• Drive quality assurance within Agile/Scrum teams by contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Utilize automation tools and testing frameworks to ensure efficiency and repeatability of test executions.
• Perform backend validations using SQL and other data analysis methods.
• Maintain documentation of test results, defects, and resolutions to support continuous improvement and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on scenario creation and execution.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, results-driven mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with .NET framework and C#.
• Exposure to financial systems such as Murex or Flexcube.
• Strong data literacy and ability to navigate complex data ecosystems.

Working Environment

You will join a multidisciplinary squad of 11 professionals working in two smaller groups managing a portfolio of 9 systems (5 strategic and 4 tactical). The team is committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering resilient and compliant data and control solutions that support the broader Wholesale and Rural business domains.
