Assembly Technician

Proactive are currently recruiting for skilled Assembly Technicians in Cambridge to start work immediately.

Position: Assembly Technician

Day shift: £13.35ph - £14.97ph

Location: Cambridge

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - 08:00am - 16:00pm - Early Finish Friday - Overtime paid at x 1.5

This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leader in the design and manufacture of high performance aerospace solutions. You will be working as part of a wider team delivering projects to meet production targets, offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

Our client requires candidates who have proven assembly skills and previous experience working within a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the assembly and manufacture of products.
Tests, quality checks and inspection of sub-assemblies.
Experience in the fitting of parts and components.
Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring diagrams.
Ability to work to production deadlines.
To ensure products are built to the required quality standard.
Adherence to Health & Safety standards.
Responsible for keeping a safe and efficient workspace.

Skills & Experience:

Experience in a production environment
Assembly or Fitting experience
Good IT skills with working knowledge of MRP
Ability to prioritise workload
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
Strong communication and team working skills
High regard for Health and Safety
