Mechanical Engineering Technician
Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our well established client.
The Role:
* The vacancy is for a Mechanical Fitter with specific knowledge to work within a small team of skilled craft persons in providing a Technical and complex mechanical spares refurbishment and rotating machinery maintenance service.
* Equipment covered includes Mill and Crane gearbox assemblies, Pumps, roll assemblies, Roller refurbishment, bearing maintenance and other high quality fitting and assembly work.
Requirements:
* Apprentice trained, with an NVQ level 3 in Engineering and a minimum 2 years’ experience in technical fitting.
* Experience of working to tight tolerances and to high quality standards.
* Able to read engineering technical assembly and detail drawings.
* Understand safe working procedures and apply recognised safety practices to each task the team are undertaking.
* Must be self-motivated and highly flexible. Required to work unsupervised and aim to deliver a first-class customer service in accordance with departmental goals and KPI’s.
* A current driving license is essential.
Working hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm with opportunity for overtime.
The role operates on a weekend rota basis for which a shift rota premium is paid.
Salary: £36,497.43 Including shift Allowance.
