Test Technician

A large manufacturing company in the Tendring Area, are looking for a Test Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be testing products right from the production line, ensuring they operate as expected. An eye for detail and a passion for electronics and engineering is a must to succeed in this role, along with being forward thinking, self-motivated and willing to learn. Duties:

Perform daily production test procedures on a range of electrical assemblies, such as programmable switching product, high voltage, RF, and instrumentation
Fault finding down to component level
Maintain test records and results in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal procedures
Perform clean and accurate repairs on issue products
Develop test processes and procedures for production testing
Create ATE test programs for new products
Write C++ code in visual studio to automate tests
Provide accurate feedback to the Research and Development department on the overall design and build quality
Perform technical investigations on a range of customer returns, e.g. High Voltage, RF, instrumentation
Person:

Preferably qualified in engineering, ideally with a high electronic content
Understanding of ISO9001
Strong problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
Working in a pressurised environment along with being organised and well disciplined
Producing accurate reports for data analysis
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
