We are seeking a talented Principal EC&I Engineer to join our team, focusing on Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) projects. You will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing EC&I design activities across a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Role Overview: As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you will lead a team responsible for the design and implementation of electrical power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation. You will apply your expertise in technical file preparation, UKCA marking, and machinery directive understanding, along with EMC justification statements. Leadership experience, preferably managing teams of 6-10 people, is essential for this role. You will thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment, contributing to the success of projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and oversee EC&I design work, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

* Manage technical file preparation, UKCA marking, and machinery directive understanding.

* Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of EC&I engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

* Design electrical power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation.

* Chair single discipline design reviews, ensuring thorough evaluation and adherence to project requirements.

* Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate EC&I designs seamlessly within multi-disciplinary projects.

* Conduct EMC justification statements, demonstrating compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

Qualification Requirements:

* Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Electrical Engineering or related field.

* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with relevant professional body.

Experience Required:

* Proven experience in EC&I engineering, with expertise in electrical power distribution, control system design, and instrumentation.

* Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably managing teams of 6-10 people.

* Experience in a multi-discipline environment, collaborating effectively with other engineering disciplines.

* Familiarity with UKCA marking, machinery directives, and relevant regulatory standards.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to chair single discipline design reviews effectively.
