Commercial Manager (Projects)

We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager (projects) to join a prestigious Facilities Management company to deliver its operational and strategic objectives. Working closely with the project and asset teams to deliver high levels of lifecycle and project work across the portfolio of buildings in the Northwest (and London). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of projects, ensuring contractual compliance, maximising revenue, and managing costs effectively.
 
The role is a permanent position paying up to 50k basic. Car allowance TBC. Up to 5% discretionary bonus based on Individual & Company performance. 40 Hours per week (Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, 1 hour lunch). 25 days holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays. Life Assurance 1.5x annual salary.  Based from the Northwest Office with occasional travel to the London hub.
 
Commercial Manager (Projects) Description:

Management of company, client and customer expectations regarding all associated contracted activities
Commercial interpretation and advice to the CEO; Ops Manager and Contract Manager
Development and maintenance of the Supply Chain to ensure that commercial and contractual arrangements are back-to-back wherever reasonably practical with partnering agreements.
Procuring lifecycle replacement work and variations within the current portfolio of 35 sites centres across the Northwest and London, which is a key enabler for our clients to deliver patient care.
Ensuring robust and appropriate procurement and contract arrangements are in place, and relevant to the value of works
Support and handover of new projects to the operational team for delivery, with ongoing contract and financial management of projects during project life
Ensuring all project documentation record keeping complies with arrangements in line project and lifecycle manual as well as the Facilities Management Agreement and the Project Agreement
Providing Commercial advice and guidance regarding contractual requirements for both contractual and commercial challenges as well as life cycle work and pre-tender estimate advice.
Ownership of the life cycle process ensuring that the contracts adhere to the life cycle process.Requirements:

Ideally good working and practical knowledge of PFI/LIFT contracts and funding arrangements
Minimum 2 years’ experience post-graduation with Project Management or Quantity Surveying / Estimating with experience in projects from £50k-£1m
Completion of IOSH or NEBOSH training
Good working Knowledge of CDM regulations
Ability to produce accurate and detailed reports
Ability to negotiate best value.
