Job Description:

OCS Group are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cafe Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our cafe, ensuring high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily cafe operations.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manage cafe staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Maintain health and safety standards.
Manage inventory and supply ordering.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers.
Strong communication skills

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations and implement and maintain health and safety standards in accordance with local regulations.
Develop and maintain a high standard of food quality, presentation, and customer service.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive and memorable experience for guests.
Serve menus that cater to the tastes and dietary preferences of high-level board members.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a managerial role in the catering or hospitality industry, ideally in Contract Catering
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
Experience of cash handling and till operations
High levels of energy and a passion for the catering industry.
Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and control, including the ability to work to budget constraints and meet targets.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with customers.

Experience handling customer complaints and making quick decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Experience in hiring, training, and performance management.
Ability to delegate tasks effectively and manage staff work schedules.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations in the catering industry.
Food hygiene certificate and first aid training would be advantageous.
Good business acumen with a practical understanding of cafe operations including inventory and supply ordering and managing overheads.
Ability to identify and implement strategies to increase cafe profitability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
