Contek Recruitment are currently working with a long-standing precision engineering client, who are located in the Luton area. Our client produce machined components for a range of industries, including Motorsport, Medical, and Leisure.
Our client are now looking for a Production Manager to join the team, to oversee and manage the machine shop, on a full-time, permanent basis.
Pay: £45k per year (Open to negotiation dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the day-to-day running of the machine shop, consisting of a team of up to 20 staff members.
* Quoting and estimating new and existing work.
* Planning the shop floor workload.
* Auditing suppliers.
* Managing new product implementation.
* Maintaining and developing customer and client relationships.
* Ensuring that 5s standards are maintained.
* Improving machining efficiency.
* Maintaining and improving production processes.
Requirements:
* Previous production management experience is preffered.
* Good people-management skills.
* Knowledge of machining practices, including milling and turning.
