We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our shop front for our branch based in St Peter Port, Guernsey. Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.
You will be responding to initial enquiries from both trade and retail customers, as well as providing quotes and taking orders. Duties will also include serving customers, ordering stock, goods in and general counter duties, including maintaining a safe working environment.
Skills:

- High level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Numerate and literate
- Ability to work well in a team environment
The successful candidate will have previous sales experience in the Merchant and Timber industry, demonstrating first class knowledge of building and landscaping products as well as the ability to work well within a team environment.
Motivated and with an ambitious approach to your role, you will have the ability to balance the provision of excellent customer service with the need to generate sales for the company. Strong communication and people skills are essential.
Monday to Friday: 7.30am – 5pm Saturdays: 8am – 12pm Saturdays
