Exciting Opportunity: Experienced Teacher for Primary School Autism Provision in Ludlow, Shropshire 

Are you a compassionate and experienced educator with a passion for supporting children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD)? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher to join our dynamic team at [School Name], located in the picturesque town of Ludlow, Shropshire. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the unique needs and abilities of autistic students within a primary school setting.
Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to support sensory processing, communication, social skills development, and behaviour management.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including special education staff, therapists, and support workers, to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure holistic support for each student.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, and provide regular feedback on student progress and achievements.
Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in autism education and apply this knowledge to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Key Skills and Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience working with children with autism, preferably within a primary school setting.
Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and familiarity with a range of evidence-based interventions and strategies, such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), TEACCH, and sensory integration techniques.
Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning styles and communication preferences of autistic students.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting the social-emotional well-being of autistic children and their families.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, with a willingness to learn and implement new approaches to support student success.
