Hospital Liaison Substance Misuse Worker

To engage people with substance misuse problems to enter treatment services. To provide advice, assessment and brief interventions along with some structured key working and make onward referrals to specialist services.

My client is a partnership organisation set up by local NHS Trusts and holds registered charity status. Provides services across the Yorkshire region.

Description

* Conduct assessment of needs

* Act as Key Worker

* Ensure Case Notes are entered and up to date

* Provide service users and their families with information and support

* Engage potential service users and signpost to relevant treatment centres

Profile

* Degree in a relevant subject ie Social Work, Counselling

or

* Level 3 Tackling Misuse and Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care

* Knowledge of substances and their effects

* Understanding of recovery movement

* Knowledge of mental health

* Background working in substance misuse

* Flexible with work pattern - working 5 out of 7 Days on a Rota between 8am - 8pm

* Able to be based on site in Doncaster

Job Offer

* Salary between £24657-£30008 depending on qualifications/experience

* 29 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
