We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As an ICU RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality and specialized care to critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Monitor and interpret patients' cardiac rhythms and other vital signs
Provide advanced life support and interventions in emergency situations
Perform various diagnostic tests and procedures
Assist in the coordination and provision of patient education and discharge planning
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment
Stay up-to-date with advancements in critical care nursing practices and participate in continuing education
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU setting
Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and practices
Expertise in interpreting complex cardiac rhythms and administering advanced life support
Advanced certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other relevant healthcare software
