Kanbrick Business System (KBS) | Director

The Director of Kanbrick Business System (KBS) will be a senior member of the KBS team, working directly with Kanbrick’s companies to drive value creation and implement KBS. The Kanbrick Business System is our transformative approach that seeks to create long-term value by aligning people, process, and culture. We have found many mid-sized companies face similar challenges and KBS is focused on tackling these through a focus on People, the Operating System, Operational Excellence, and Growth. This role will be responsible for diligencing new investments, underwriting value creation opportunities, implementing the Kanbrick Business System post-close and driving continuous improvement in our approach.
Outcomes:
KBS implementation – quarterback the KBS implementation process at each new Kanbrick company, partnering closely with management teams to establish the foundational components of KBS and build a shared strategy for value creation in the first six months post-close
KBS maturity – support the ongoing maturity of KBS practices in each operating company after implementation
Value creation – directly support other value creation opportunities across Kanbrick companies, as needed
KBS culture and change management – embed the business system and its culture in each Kanbrick company – KBS is how we live and operate, and we seek to embed it in each business (vs. parachuting consultants in and out)
KBS continuous improvement – shape KBS and the KBS team, driving best practice sharing and continuous improvement across the system
Business diligence – assess business quality and identify and prioritize key KBS initiatives and value creation levers
Requirements
3+ years of top performance in top-tier Management Consulting and/or a sustained track record of value creation through building enduring companies – it is an added plus if this experience is at an organization with a leading business system (e.g., Danaher)
Ability to build strong relationships with management teams and drive successful change management to embed KBS
Passion for “main street” mid-size / family business
