Job Description: 
We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role will report to the Accounting Manager and play a critical part in ensuring our financial transactions are accurately recorded and our financial systems are well-maintained.
Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledger accounts.
Reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy.
Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries.
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
Communicate with clients and vendors regarding financial matters as needed.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably within a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
