Parallel Employment is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team on 1st shift!
As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for handling incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of received products, and efficiently managing inventory. You will also be responsible for documenting and resolving any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
1st shift Hours: 6am-3pm, Monday-Friday
Wage: $18.00-$20.00/hr.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments, comparing them with purchase orders and packing slips
Verify the accuracy of received products, including quantity and quality
Organize and store received products in appropriate locations with forklifts
Record and document all received items in the inventory system
Communicate and coordinate with suppliers regarding any shipment discrepancies or issues
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
Handle any return or exchange requests with suppliers
Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures in the receiving area
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience as a Receiving Clerk or similar role preferred, minimum of 5 years experience.
Forklift experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift heavy objects (at least 50lb) and operate warehouse equipment
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
