Job Purpose

The Commercial Team requires an Assistant Contract Officer, to work within the team for the ongoing administration of frameworks and contracts.

This will involve day to day activities to administer frameworks & contracts, maintaining customer and supplier relationships and duties to ensure Nuclear Waste Services delivers the services, and realises opportunities and benefits for both NWS's suppliers and customers.

In addition to this, the individual will be required to manage a small / low risk framework or contract with the support of the Senior Contract Officer.

The role would report into the Senior Contract Officer but must maintain a close working relationship with the wider business stakeholders and contract leads.

Main Accountabilities

Follow the customer invoicing and supplier payment procedures for assigned areas which requires the checking and updating of customer invoice spreadsheets, administering the supplier invoice approvals process in conjunction with the Finance and Demanders and administration activities through Business World (electronic purchasing system).
Administer / approve supplier's applications for payments following Nuclear Waste Services application for process.
Support the P2P process, including performing the Technical Approver (Commercial) and Commercial Approver roles in Business World for relevant purchase requisitions, and monitor purchase order spend against commitment and sanction.
Update and maintain the portfolio of contract administration databases, spreadsheets and trackers (e.g. KPI trends, task/supply orders, further competition, price analysis, benefits realisation trackers, assurance plans) for customer and supplier contracts.
Generate and issue communications and further competitions to suppliers using Nuclear Waste Services Atamis system (a web-based tender management software).
Support Contract Leads in managing contract risk for assigned services.
Scheduling and coordinating the supplier relationship management activities, meetings, and agendas.
Support contract and relationship management meetings to produce records of discussion, decisions, and actions.
Administer the early warning, compensation event, and other contractual communication processes for assigned service contracts.
Support generation of monthly performance or KPI reports to senior management, customers, and NDA.
Be a super user in CRM (a web-based customer relationship management software) with roles including, maintaining user access, managing supplier assurance (ensuring supplier insurance certificates are in date etc) and managing communication through the system.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience in NEC4 contracts.
Knowledge of Business World system or Business World User.
Knowledge of Atamis system
Full UK driver's license
