We are working with a Freight Forwarder looking for a Customs Clerk to join their team in Dover.
This role is working 4 on 4 off night shift
Responsibilities;
* Creating customs documentation for Air Freight
* Oversee all customs clearance of traffic moving by road
* Complete customs entries from start to finish for Imports and Exports
* Customs import/export entry checking
* Collaborate with clients, importers, exporters, and relevant parties to gather essential information required for import and export declarations.
* Address and resolve queries from Customs related to active declarations.
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data across all operational systems.
* Upload job information into in-house Transport Monitoring System
* Swiftly and effectively manage all inquiries and questions concerning customs processes, tariff classifications, duty rates, and additional documentation needs while maintaining direct communication with clients.
* Skills Required;
* Experience working within a similar role is required
* Customs software experience
* Experience working with freight forwarding and logistics
* Good communication skills
* Proficient in MS Office
