Company Profile
A specialist subcontract manufacturer of precision machined parts and components to various industry sectors are looking for an experience CNC Turner to program set and operate their CNC machines due to continued growth in customer orders (with a full order book to the end of the year) and consistent reinvestment.
Heavily invested in the last 5 years in new CNC Machine tools.
Manufacturing a range of components for various industries such as MOD, Commercial Aerospace, F1, Oil & Gas, Film and TV and Commercial parts.

* £2m turnover currently and growing.

* Total headcount – 13

* Shop Floor Headcount – 6 days & 3 nights.

Job Profile
As the successful CNC Turner, you will experience working in a friendly and welcoming environment for a hands-on management team that believe in being part of the team, for the team.
Each day will be different due to the nature of the role and the company, manufacturing high-profile components for various industry sectors with daily job changes.

Duties:

* Programming Setting Operating CNC Lathes with Driven / Live Tooling with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.

* Mazak and/or Fanuc experience would be an advantage but not essential.

* Creating new programs online from engineering drawings.

* CADCAM Programming (experience is not essential as training can be provided).

* Manufacturing components from 2mm up to 350mm dia in batches of 1offs up to 100s off.

* Machining to tight tolerances from general engineering materials to exotics and hardened steels / alloys.

* Job changes range from ½ day to a week with lead times of up to 4 weeks.

Skills & Experience:

* CNC Turning experience is a must.

* Able to Program Set and Operate CNC Lathes with Live tooling (MillTurn).

* Mazak and/or Fanuc experience would be an advantage but not essential.

* Experience of working in a Subcontract manufacturing environment would be ideal.

* CADCAM experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Machines:

* MillTurn – Mazak Lathes (driven/live tooling)

* Mazatrol conversant (not essential as can be training in ISO)

* New 5axis Mazak lathe (Integrex) coming in the next few weeks.

Hours of Work:

* 40hrs per week

* 8am to 4pm

* Can start at 6am and finish as 6pm

* £18.00p/hr up to £22.00p/hr

* Loads of overtime available (not compulsory) paid at x1.5hrs

* Paid monthly – last working day of the month
