THE COMPANY
This well established Chartered Accounting practice based in Bristol is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to support their growing busy team of Accountants.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Accounts Assistant role is a full time, permanent, office based position, Monday to Friday and you will receive a competitive salary depending on your level of experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to day as the Accounts Assistant you will be performing a number of supporting functions for the team involving:
* General Bookkeeping
* Prepare statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, sole trader, and partnerships.
* Preparing and drafting corporation tax and VAT returns.
* Payroll processing
* Other associated and ad-hoc tasks or mini-projects
YOUR EXPERIENCE
To succeed in the Accounts Assistant role you will need some previous experience of working within an Accounting practice, at least a couple of years.
You will need to be a confident communicator, able to deal with clients directly.
You will be a strong user of MS Excel and ideally will have used XERO previously.
You will need at least a couple of years in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper role to this point and you will need to have AAT qualifications to at least level 3.
