We're seeking a highly motivated Supplier Approval Technologist to join a leading innovator in the agri-food industry! This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in safeguarding product quality and upholding stringent safety regulations.

About the Role:

* Location: Dungannon

* Salary: £30k - £32k

* Reporting to: Technical Manager

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

* Supplier Approval Management: Overseeing all aspects of supplier approval documentation, ensuring its completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

* Ingredient & Packaging Expertise: Maintaining and updating the ingredient/packaging matrix, and keeping track of crucial information for production and regulatory purposes.

* Horizon Scanning & Risk Assessment: Staying ahead of the curve by reviewing and communicating emerging trends and potential risks (horizon scanning) in the food industry. You'll also conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all suppliers to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.

* Customer Specification Support: Assisting with updating and maintaining customer specifications, ensuring alignment with evolving requirements and market demands.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Communication & Collaboration: You're a confident, proactive individual with excellent communication skills. You possess the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.

* Food Science Expertise: Holding a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a food-related discipline is essential. A strong understanding of food safety and quality principles is highly desirable, with experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector a significant advantage.

* Technical Skills & Attention to Detail: You're proficient in Microsoft Excel, utilizing it for data analysis and record-keeping. A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are paramount in this role.

* Organization & Time Management: You demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, effectively prioritizing your workload and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
