Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician? Are you based in or around Hartlepool?

We have a permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician role available within TATA Steel's Hartlepool site. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem solving skills and is approachable, motivated and experienced within their field.

Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: TATA Steel, Hartlepool Works, Brenda Rd, Hartlepool TS25 2EG

Rate: £41,008 (starting) - £45,043 (inclusive of shift allowance)

Shift Patterns: 12 hour days and nights: X2 days, X2 nights and then X4 off

Responsibilities:

Assisting the engineering team to carry out preventive maintenance, installation and breakdown activities as required
Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained and safe working procedures are followed
Responsibility for conducting all aspects of the job in a safe manner
Adhering to statutory and mandatory safety regulations, procedures and policies.
Providing first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to minimise plant downtime
Suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems
Ensuring that any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and that repairs are robust enough to prevent a recurrence
Assisting the engineering team to carry out maintenance, installation and breakdown activities as requiredEssential requirements:

Hold a recognised Electrical maintenance Qualification (level 3, BTEC, NC, NVQ equivalent) or have completed an electrical apprenticeship
Overhead cranes and associated safety systems experience
Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems
Ability to interpret electrical drawings
Experience with PLC's in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI's
Experience with Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices
Ability to problem solve independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate efficiently
Sound IT Literacy skills
