We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Shift Manager to join our team in Hampshire.
Job Summary
The Production Shift Manager will oversee the production department, ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and health and safety regulations. This is a shift-based role, offering a competitive salary package including handover and shift premiums.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Production Operations: Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
* Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff to achieve operational excellence.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with GMP standards and health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
* Shift Management: Organise and manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and smooth handovers between shifts.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
* Reporting: Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports on performance metrics, incidents, and corrective actions.
* Resource Management: Efficiently manage resources, including raw materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimise production processes.
* Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for production staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a production management role within the FMCG sector, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of GMP and health and safety regulations.
* Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* Flexibility: Ability to work shift patterns and adapt to changing production demands.
