This exciting role is working with a leading UK building and construction materials manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire. They are seeking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment Manager who will focus on their manufacturing facilities across their 2 sites in Nottinghamshire, overseeing HSE for around 100 employees.
Reporting to the Managing Director the Health, Safety & Environment Manager position is responsible for ensuring that all company activities, product, and services are conducted in compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation.

Key responsibilities of Health, Safety & Environment Manager:
To provide HSE leadership, training, and operational support to all levels of the organisation and across all functional groups.
Ensuring all HSE processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across the manufacturing facility.
Track company health and safety metrics and use the data to identify and to reduce risk.
Working closely with other departments to implement Health, Safety, and hazardous material assessments.
To assist in all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause and approving the implementation of preventative actions.
Ensuring emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergency situations.
Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, quarry regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
To ensure continued compliance on current and new legislation i.e., 14001/45001
What you need to apply for the Health, Safety & Environment Manager:
Well versed with the management and auditing of ISO14001 and ISO45001
Ability to identify hazards and carry out risk assessments.
NEBOSH Certification or diploma.
5+ years' experience within construction materials industry
Good communications and presentation skills with the ability to produce written reports.
